We are seeking an Assistant Revenue Manager to join our team at Sutera Sanctuary Lodges in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maximising our revenue potential and supporting the overall profitability of the lodge. Reporting to the Revenue Manager, you will be instrumental in implementing revenue management strategies, analysing booking patterns, and optimising pricing strategies across all distribution channels. This role is essential to our business operations and offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in hospitality revenue management whilst contributing directly to the lodge's financial success.
Monitor and analyse booking trends, occupancy rates and revenue metrics across all distribution channels to identify opportunities for optimisation
Assist in the development and implementation of pricing strategies and promotional campaigns to maximise revenue and market competitiveness
Manage relationships with online travel agencies (OTAs) and travel partners, ensuring accurate rates and inventory allocation
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly revenue reports and forecasts to support strategic decision-making
Monitor competitor pricing and market conditions to ensure our rates remain competitive and attractive
Coordinate with the sales and marketing teams to align revenue management objectives with promotional activities
Assist in managing group bookings and special event reservations to optimise revenue opportunities
Maintain accurate records of rates, packages and promotional offers across all booking systems
Identify and resolve discrepancies in booking data and rate management systems
Support the Revenue Manager with special projects and ad-hoc revenue management initiatives
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field
Proven experience in a revenue management, hotel operations or front office role within the hospitality industry
Strong proficiency with revenue management systems and property management systems (PMS)
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing rates and inventory
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
Knowledge of online distribution channels, OTA management and booking systems
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
Fluency in English; additional languages (such as Mandarin or Malay) are desirable
