Hyatt Place Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Jalil invites an experienced Assistant Revenue Management to lead the reservations and revenue management functions for our new property. You will oversee distribution systems, drive RevPAR, and collaborate with Sales and Marketing to optimise hotel performance.

You should have a proven track record in senior reservations or revenue management within international hotel brands, strong data analysis skills, and the ability to manage a team across multiple channels.

Qualifications

• Degree in Hospitality or Tourism Management, Business Administration or Marketing.
• Minimum 5–6 years in a senior reservations or revenue management role in an international chain hotel.
• Experience coaching and leading hotel reservations teams to success.
• Ability to use Sales Management Systems, channel systems, PMS and RMS to make fact-based decisions.

Hyatt Place Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Jalil- will mark the first Hyatt Place hotel in Malaysia. Located in Bukit Jalil, an affluent suburb located within the southern corridor of Kuala Lumpur, The hotel will feature approximately 250 guestrooms, a three-meal restaurant, Large Ballroom and 4 meeting rooms and flexible event space, Rooftop restaurant, a fitness centre, and a sky pool

We are currently looking for an experienced Assistant Revenue Management to lead the section and be responsible for all aspects of revenue management, reservations and hotel rooms distribution systems, all with the ultimate goal of driving revenue and revpar.

This position reports to the Head of the Sales and Marketing Department

An individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and a prominent member within the industry, you will be confident and driven in your approach. You are business savvy and are known for your ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels, are detail orientated and must be able to problem-solve with employees and guests. Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and be constantly hands on and ready to lend expertise within other departments of the hotel.

Demonstrate proven track record of results for coaching and leading hotel reservations team members to success. We are looking for leaders who have a strong sense of direction, confidence and ability to get things done. The success of this position is determined primarily by business numbers.

Demonstrate a masterful command and ability to use Sales Management Systems and, channel systems, Hotel property management systems and Revenue Management systems in order to make fact based decisions that makes commercial sense and will benefit the profitability and revenue growth of the hotel

Demonstrate a proven track record of achieving top line room revenue and other revenue goals of the hotel and also capturing STR Market Share – all via hotel distribution systems

Previous hotel sales experience with hotel properties that have over 230 rooms will be preferred due to the complexity of the sales process. Pre-opening experience is a definite advantage for this role.

Possess a Degree in either Hospitality or Tourism Management, Business Administration or Marketing

A minimum of 5 to 6 years or more work experience in a senior role within a reservations or revenue management role in an international chain hotel sales

Demonstrate the ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds

Must possess the following character traits: strengths: high energy, commercial business sense, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line

Fluent in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. The ability to converse in other local languages will be an added advantage. The candidate must be in current possession of valid working permit that is currently valid for Malaysia.
