Job summary

ADVANCED DEFENCE SYSTEMS SDN. BHD. seeks an Assistant, Quantity Surveyor to support cost control, budgeting, contract admin and site progress.

You will coordinate with contractors, consultants and internal teams to keep projects on schedule and within budget while maintaining safety and quality standards. The role requires a degree or diploma in QS/CM/CE with at least 2 years in quantity surveying or cost management, strong analytical and negotiation abilities, and the capacity to work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management.
• Familiarity with contract administration, and cost control practices.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.
• Experience in infrastructure, civil, or building construction projects will be an added advantage.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant, Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our team. You will support overall project cost control, budget management, contract administration, and site progress monitoring. Working closely with contractors, consultants, and internal teams, you will help ensure construction projects remain on schedule, within budget, and compliant with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

Assist in monitoring the overall costs of projects, monitoring the calculation on material needs and comparison carefully for costs savings.

Assist on map out project timelines and monitoring construction progress by liaise closely with all teams to keep the job on track.

Monitoring on the cost estimates, the bills of quantities and the contract documents/agreement with the appointed contractor / subcontractor and consultant.

Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all project-related costs and financial transactions.

Provide expert advice on procurement, logistics, risk management and cost-saving measures.

Assist to ensuring project requirements are in line with the work being carried out.

Assist on monitoring contractors or subcontractors the safety practices as required.

Assist in communication and liaise closely with all the contractor, subcontractor, consultant and other related agency.

What we're looking for
