Job summary

Kiara Susila is seeking a Mandarin-speaking Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Malaysia. The role involves close collaboration with consultants to meet deadlines, prepare progress claims, variations, and final accounts, and manage cost control across multiple contracts.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of relevant experience, a degree in Quantity Surveying, and strong skills in reading drawings, BoQ, and negotiations. Fluency in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, and English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Postgraduate qualification in Quantity Surveying.
• Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia and English language abilities are required.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in QS-related tasks.
• Ability to read drawings and Bill of Quantities (BQ).
• Able to work independently and under tight deadlines; multi-tasking capability.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with other consultants, towards accomplishing targeted deadlines and milestone.
• Handling progress claim and progress payment. Need to liaise and establish good rapport with consultants, client's quantity surveyor and architect for the certification of claim payment.
• Prepare progress claim, variation order and final account, procurement site measurement and cost comparison.
• Responsible in taking-off quantity and claim preparations.
• Monitor site valuation and measurement.
• Liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers.
• To verity sub-contractor progress claims, prepare progress certificate and tracking payments.
• Assist overall administration matters of various contracts and subcontract works.
• Assist and undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as instructed by .
• Preparation of bill of quantities (BQ) / tender document and invite contractor.
• Prepare and check monthly progress claim and variation orders for approval and payment.
• Source for sub-contractors / suppliers for quotation for tendering, negotiate for competitive prices.
• To ensure all tender and project documents and drawing are properly filed and maintained.
• Attend site meetings when necessary.

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma Diploma/ Professional Degree in Quantity Surveyor (Others) or equivalent.
