Job summary

EFCT Konsult is seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Junior Quantity Surveyor to manage QS operations on projects as the owner's representative, including take-offs, BQ preparation, cost estimation, tender document preparation, and evaluation of variations.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. The role requires English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin when engaging with clients, with travel as needed. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Glodon and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field
• Experience in pre- and post-contract administration including assessment of contractual risks
• Able to communicate effectively with internal and external parties in English, BM and Mandarin when required

• Provide advice to management on quantity surveying matters

Quantity Surveyor / Junior Quantity Surveyor

Responsible for QS operation of projects as the owner's representative (take off, BQ preparation & Materials sourcing, tender document preparation, cost estimation, progress claims, evaluation of V.O and of claims, checking of drawings, preparation of Letter of Awards etc).

Feasibility studies, project costing.

Assist in operation matters such as pre-planning, cost estimate, pre-contract coordination, post-contract coordination, and budget and cost control tracking.

Analyze / evaluate tender submissions and prepare tender report.

Carry out measurement, site valuations, assessment and verification of claims and variation orders.

Liaise with main contractors, sub- contractors, consultants and related other parties involved in the projects.

Establish tendering procedures and contractual arrangement. Evaluation of contractors registered for prequalification of tender when require.

Provide advice to the Management on quantity surveying matter

Requirements:

Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, Professional Degree, Adequate experience in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.

Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skill

Experience in pre & post contract administration including assessment of contractual risks, rights and obligations.

Able to work independently and to demonstrate maturity in handling different levels of individuals within the organization and external parties.

Required language: English , Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin (Engage with Mandarin speaking clients)

Computer literate : Microsoft office application, AutoCAD & Glodon.

Willing to travel as when required.
