Job summary

XFS SDN. BHD. in Malaysia seeks a Production Supervisor for ceramic manufacturing to oversee daily operations, ensure product quality, meet targets, and manage floor staff.

You will monitor processes from decal to kiln firing, drive safety, coordinate with QC, maintenance, warehouse and planning, and report on production metrics.

• Strong understanding of quality systems and continuous improvement methods.
• Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs such as productivity, yield, scrap rate and OEE.

Job description

A Production Supervisor in a ceramic manufacturing industry is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring products meet quality standards, managing workers, and achieving production targets efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise production operators and technicians on the manufacturing floor.

Monitor ceramic production processes such as:

Decal

Raw material preparation

Mixing and batching

Forming/shaping (pressing, casting, extrusion)

Drying

Kiln firing

Inspection and packaging

Ensure production schedules and output targets are met.

Maintain product quality according to specifications.

Implement and enforce safety procedures and workplace regulations.

Coordinate with quality control, maintenance, warehouse, and planning departments.

Analyze production data and prepare reports.

Troubleshoot production issues and minimize downtime.

Train and develop production staff.

Required Skills

Knowledge of ceramic manufacturing processes and kiln operations.
