Job summary

XFS SDN. BHD. in Malaysia is seeking a Production Supervisor for its ceramic manufacturing operations. You will supervise production operators and technicians, monitor processes from decal to kiln firing, ensure safety, quality, and timely output.

The role requires 3–5+ years in manufacturing, strong leadership, KPI awareness, and experience with ERP/MRP systems. You'll coordinate with QA, maintenance, and planning, and develop staff through training.

Qualifications

Job description

A Production Supervisor in a ceramic manufacturing industry is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring products meet quality standards, managing workers, and achieving production targets efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise production operators and technicians on the manufacturing floor.

Monitor ceramic production processes such as:

Decal

Raw material preparation

Mixing and batching

Forming/shaping (pressing, casting, extrusion)

Drying

Kiln firing

Inspection and packaging

Ensure production schedules and output targets are met.

Maintain product quality according to specifications.

Implement and enforce safety procedures and workplace regulations.

Coordinate with quality control, maintenance, warehouse, and planning departments.

Analyze production data and prepare reports.

Troubleshoot production issues and minimize downtime.

Train and develop production staff.

Required Skills

Knowledge of ceramic manufacturing processes and kiln operations.

Understanding of quality systems and continuous improvement methods.
