Talent Trader Group is seeking a Production Material Control (PMC) Assistant Manager to lead demand forecasting, MPS, shop-floor planning, inventory governance, and logistics within a busy manufacturing facility.
You will manage freight, drive QRCI stand-ups, and apply 8D root-cause methodologies to resolve supply chain disruptions while keeping customer demand aligned with production.
The Production Material Control (PMC) Assistant Manager leads demand forecasting, Master Production Scheduling (MPS), shop-floor planning, inventory control, and logistics operations. Reporting directly to the PMC Manager and Plant Head, this role aligns manufacturing output with customer demand, optimizes warehouse storage strategies, and manages overall supply chain costs.
Serving as an operational pillar within the manufacturing facility, you will direct daily production scheduling, manage domestic and international freight forwarders, lead Quick Response Continuous Improvement (QRCI) stand-ups, and utilize structured 8D root-cause methodologies to resolve supply chain disruptions.
1. Production Planning & Material Control (PMC)
Master Scheduling: Implement robust demand forecasting models, establish Master Production Schedules (MPS), and supervise daily shop-floor planning to achieve high On-Time Delivery (OTD) rates.
Inventory Governance: Optimize warehouse layouts and storage allocation strategies; oversee monthly physical stock counts, variance analysis, and overall inventory accuracy.
2. Logistics & Supply Chain Cost Management
Freight & Routing: Oversee domestic logistics routing and international import/export shipments, ensuring cost-effective freight options and customs compliance.
Forwarder Oversight: Manage performance standards, service-level agreements, and contracts for freight forwarders, 3PL providers, and transport vendors.
3. Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving
Operational Leadership: Lead daily Quick Response Continuous Improvement (QRCI) operational meetings to address shop-floor bottlenecks and material risks.
Root-Cause Resolution: Spearhead structured problem-solving initiatives (e.g., 8D methodology, 5-Why analysis) to mitigate supply chain disruptions, material shortages, and logistics delays.
Professional Tenure: Proven leadership or management experience in Production Planning & Control (PMC), material control, and logistics management within a medium-to-large manufacturing facility.
Academic Qualification: Diploma / Bachelor degree in Production Management / Logistics & Supply Chain or any related degree.
Technical Skills: Deep familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP/SAP) systems, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Master Production Scheduling (MPS), and warehouse operations.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Capabilities: Strong data-driven analytical mindset with demonstrated expertise in 8D root-cause problem solving and Lean manufacturing concepts.
