Mills Recruitment partners with an international medical device manufacturer to hire a Planning & Material Control Manager/Assistant Manager in Malaysia. Take ownership of production planning and material control to keep manufacturing operations running smoothly, materials available and customer deliveries on schedule.

In this role you will lead the PMC function, coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse and Sales, monitor inventory, improve ERP/MRP processes and develop the PMC team

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or higher in a related field and manufacturing experience.
• Experience in production planning and material control within a manufacturing setup.
• Knowledge of MPS, MRP/ERP systems and inventory management with cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead production planning and material control, including master production scheduling based on orders, forecasts and capacity.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse and Sales to ensure material availability and production alignment.
• Monitor inventory levels, optimise stock turnover and minimise excess and obsolete materials.
• Improve ERP/MRP planning processes and resolve production or material issues that could impact delivery.
• Lead and develop the PMC team while supporting process improvement, cost reduction and performance reporting.

What You Will Do

• Lead production planning and material control, including master production scheduling based on customer orders, forecasts and capacity.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse and Sales to ensure material availability and production alignment.
• Monitor inventory levels, optimise stock turnover and minimise excess and obsolete materials.
• Improve ERP/MRP planning processes and resolve production or material issues that could impact delivery.
• Lead and develop the PMC team while supporting process improvement, cost reduction and performance reporting.

Who We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or above in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
• Manufacturing experience in production planning and material control.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, MPS, MRP/ERP systems and inventory management.
• Proven experience coordinating across Production, Purchasing, Warehouse and Sales.
• Experience in process improvement, lean manufacturing or cost reduction initiatives is an advantage.

Skills and Attributes

Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with excellent communication and coordination skills. Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel is required.
