Job summary

Amphenol DC Electronics Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to support the Production Manager in overseeing daily manufacturing operations. You will focus on achieving production targets, quality standards, on-time delivery, productivity, and cost objectives across cable cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, termination, assembly, testing, labeling and final inspection.

The role emphasizes leadership of supervisors and operators, implementation of Lean, 5S/6S, Kaizen

Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
5–8 years of manufacturing experience, with 2–3 years in a supervisory/management role.
Experience in custom cable, wire harness, cable assembly, or electrical/electronic manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage daily production activities to meet output and delivery schedules.
Supervise production supervisors, team leaders, technicians, operators, and other staff.
Coordinate with Planning, QA/QC, Engineering, Warehouse, and Maintenance to resolve issues.
Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S/6S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Work with Engineering on process improvements and NPI/production transfers.
Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with EHS policies.
Prepare and communicate production KPI reports and attend management meetings.
