Job summary

Amphenol DC Electronics Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Buyer to manage procurement for cables and wire harness materials, ensuring quality, cost, and timely delivery to support production and customer schedules.

You will collaborate with Planning, Production, Engineering, Quality, Warehouse and Finance to maintain supplier performance, negotiate terms, and optimize inventory while aligning with BOMs and ERP records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of purchasing/buying experience.
• Experience in wire harness or electronics manufacturing is a plus.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and supplier qualification.

Responsibilities

• Review purchase requisitions, MRPs and production schedules.
• Prepare and issue POs to approved suppliers.
• Purchase materials based on demand, lead time and inventory levels.
• Ensure on-time material availability to prevent production stoppages.
• Follow up with suppliers on PO confirmations and delivery status.
• Expedite urgent materials when required.
• Monitor open POs and supplier performance.
