Job summary

Job description

• Plan and prepare production schedules, determine resource requirements, and ensure adequate stock levels to support production operations.
• Oversee quality control throughout the production process and ensure that production targets and deadlines are met.
• Liaise with the Planning Department and other relevant departments to ensure orders are completed on time and meet the required quality standards.
• Monitor productivity rates and product quality standards, and implement appropriate quality control programmes.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, maximise packing machinery utilisation, and reduce reliance on manual labour.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels of work-in-progress (WIP) and raw materials to minimise excess stock.
• Compile and analyse production data, prepare production and process performance reports, and provide cost estimates for materials, equipment, and manpower for management review.
• Make timely decisions and resolve staff- or equipment-related issues while working with management to implement company policies and objectives.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, monitor employee performance, and identify training needs.
• Prepare and submit production reports to Management and the Finance Department as required, subject to prior approval from the Operations Manager.
• Identify production requirements related to process validation, change requests, and process deviations.
• Liaise with the Marketing Department regarding new order specifications and provide feedback on production feasibility assessments.
• Coordinate with the Engineering and Maintenance Departments on preventive maintenance programmes for machinery and facility maintenance.

Job requirements:

• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in Production Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in a related industry is preferred.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Proficient in Minitab, data analysis, planning and implementation, process improvement, resource management, and time management.
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Document Management Systems (DMS) will be an added advantage.
