Job summary

Leaderart Industries (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Production Supervisor to plan, monitor, and control daily production activities across Printing, Assembly, Colouring, and Packing lines to meet performance targets.

You will lead Supervisors and Operators, drive productivity improvements, and ensure adherence to SOPs and 5S on the shop floor, while coordinating with QA to guarantee product quality and compliance with specifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, and control daily production activities for Printing, Assembly, Colouring, and Packing lines.
• Ensure production output meets daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
• Lead, supervise, and coach Supervisors, Leaders, and Operators.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as productivity improvement, rejection reduction, and process efficiency enhancement.
• Monitor line performance (output, efficiency, rejection rate, downtime).
• Ensure proper line balancing and manpower allocation to maximize productivity.
• Investigate production issues, defects, and abnormalities; identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure work instructions and SOPs are followed strictly to maintain product quality.
• Verify daily production reports, rejection reports, and downtime records.
• Ensure all production orders are completed on time and meet customer quality requirements.
• Coordinate closely with QA to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications.
• Enforce 5S practices, discipline, and good housekeeping on the production floor.
• Ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.
• Support new product trials, sample runs, and process validation activities.
• Develop and train subordinates to improve skills and strengthen team capability.
• Liaise with Engineering, QA, Warehouse, HR, R&D and Planning to ensure smooth production flow.
• Participate in ISO documentation, internal audits, and customer audits.
• Monitor and report production KPIs (output, efficiency, rejection, downtime).
• Ensure sufficient materials, components, and packaging supplies are available to support production.
• Work with Maintenance team to minimize equipment downtime.
• Ensure all measuring equipment (e.g., weighing machines) are calibrated as required.
• Support implementation of process improvements and productivity projects.
• Prepare production reports and updates for Management review.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

Job description

Primary duties: (Approximately 70 to 80% of daily work schedule)

Plan, monitor, and control daily production activities for Printing, Assembly, Colouring, and Packing lines to ensure smooth operations.

Ensure production output meets daily, weekly, and monthly targets.

Perform manpower planning, optimize headcount, and control overtime.

Lead, supervise, and coach Supervisors, Leaders, and Operators.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as productivity improvement, rejection reduction, and process efficiency enhancement.

Monitor line performance (output, efficiency, rejection rate, downtime).

Ensure proper line balancing and manpower allocation to maximize productivity.

Monitor and report production KPIs (output, efficiency, rejection, downtime).

Ensure sufficient materials, components, and packaging supplies are available to support production.

Work with Maintenance team to minimize equipment downtime.

Ensure all measuring equipment (e.g., weighing machines) are calibrated as required.
