Job summary

Jadi Imaging Technologies Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia seeks a proactive Production Lead to guide a team on the shop floor and achieve daily production targets.

You will monitor performance, enforce safety and housekeeping, coordinate materials, and report progress to management to optimize throughput. Experience in cost reduction and productivity initiatives is a plus. The ideal candidate has Bahasa Malaysia and English, at least four years in a production environment, SPM or higher, basic knowledge

Qualifications

• Must be at least SPM educational level and above.
• Excellent written and command in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• 4+ years working experience in production environment.
• Basic knowledge in safety, health and environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead production workers to achieve daily targets.
• Monitor production performance and operating budget with Manager/Executives.
• Enforce discipline, safety and 5S housekeeping on the floor.
• Prepare daily production reports (input/output/parameters).
• Train operators and ensure adherence to work instructions.

Job description

Lead the production workers to achieve the production target

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• a) Assist Production Manager/Production Executives in monitoring and controlling the overall production performance and Operating budget.
• b) To execute the cost reduction program and productivity and quality improvement program.
• c) Establish production needs, materials and human resources in line with company’s growth.
• d) To enforce discipline, safety and good housekeeping practices on the production floor.
• e) To prepare daily production report, such as input, output and production parameter report.
• f) To ensure that all documents are properly maintained, updated and kept traceable.
• g) To ensure that manpower are properly utilized and controlled to minimize bottleneck in the production lines through constant monitoring of production planning.
• h) To ensure that the production operators are trained and strictly follow the work instruction.
• i) To conduct troubleshooting when necessary.
• j) To monitor, control and prepare the premixing and additives material in accordance to the formulation.
• k) To monitor and assist in loading and unloading of the materials.
• l) To raise raw material requisition in accordance with just in time practice.
• m) To maintain the 5S housekeeping in the production floor.
• n) To coordinates and assist in minor trouble shooting in production lines.
• o) To attend the production workers work attendance and grievances.
• p) To review, update and delegate daily tasks to respective operators.
• q) To perform any other duties as and when required by the management.
• r) To intervene workers not in appointed work station for more than 20 minutes.

KEY RISK FACTORS

Commuting Incident – During come and back to workplace from home.

Workplace Hazard – Workplace condition such as dust, overexertion, chemical exspouse, health issues, work at height, manual handling, shift hours etc.

Lack of Training (SOP, WI, Guidelines) affect product quality, machinery breakdown, etc.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least SPM educational level and above.
• Excellent written and command in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• 3. Must have at least 4 years working experience in production Environment is required.
• 4. Basic knowledge in safety, health and environment.

SKILLS

• Must be able to work on shift and weekends/Public holiday
• Have supervisory and leadership skill, able to motivate subordinates.
• A team player with commitment and able to perform under pressure.
• Pro-active and positive attitude (can do approach attitude).
• Able to give training and responsible for sub-ordinates attendance.
