Job summary

Gegaran Cemerlang Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an Estate Supervisor to support daily estate operations, monitor field activities and oversee workers and contractors. You will track FFB, yield and productivity while ensuring adherence to plantation practices.

The role requires a Diploma or degree in Plantation Management or related field, 2–3 years of experience, leadership skills, and proficiency in Mandarin to interact with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan and allocate manpower and daily work according to estate requirements.
• Supervise contractors and ensure work is completed properly and within the required timeline.
• Maintain proper records of estate operations, manpower, production, fertiliser usage and other relevant activities.
• Assist in preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports relating to estate operations and production.
• Monitor the usage of fertilisers, chemicals, tools, machinery and other estate resources.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements and relevant plantation practices.
• Assist the Estate Manager in controlling estate expenses and maintaining proper operational costs.
• Liaise with workers, contractors, suppliers and relevant parties on estate-related matters.
• Assist in handling workers' attendance, discipline and other manpower-related matters.
• Carry out other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Estate Manager or Management.

Job description

Assist the Estate Manager in managing the daily operations and overall activities of the oil palm estate. Supervise and monitor estate workers, including field workers, harvesters and contractors. Monitor harvesting, collection, pruning, weeding, manuring and other field activities to ensure work is carried out according to the estate's requirements. Monitor Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) production and ensure harvesting activities are carried out efficiently and according to the required standards. Monitor estate yield, field performance and productivity, and identify areas for improvement.

About you

Diploma or Degree in Plantation Management, Agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related field

Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in oil palm plantation or estate operations

Good knowledge of oil palm cultivation, harvesting and general estate operations

Good leadership and people-management skills

Able to supervise and manage estate workers and contractors effectively

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Able to work independently and make decisions in a plantation environment

Good organisational and problem-solving skills

Possess a valid driving licence

Computer literate and able to prepare basic reports using Microsoft Office

Proficient in reading and writing Mandarin. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
