Job summary

Terberg Manufacturing & Assembly Sdn Bhd in Pasir Gudang invites applications for an Assistant Manager, Warehouse (5 Working Days). You will oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.

This role requires strong inventory control, cycle counting, and coordinating with Production, Procurement, QA, and Logistics to ensure material availability, on-time shipments, and safe operations under

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in supply chain management or equivalent.
• 5+ years in warehouse/logistics operations in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading a team of supervisors and executives (10+ staff).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of materials.
• Monitor inventory levels and conduct cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure layout, space utilization, and material flow support production and dispatch schedules.
• Liaise with Production, Procurement, QA, and Logistics to coordinate material availability and shipments.
• Report on key metrics such as order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and dock-to-stock time.
• Supervise and allocate work to warehouse supervisors and team members.
• Train, coach, and evaluate staff; identify skill gaps and support development.
• Manage attendance, discipline, and manpower planning, including temporary staff during peak periods.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety regulations, and statutory requirements (OSHA/DOSH or local equivalents).
• Maintain equipment (forklifts, racking, MHE) and inspect per schedule.
• Prepare and present regular warehouse performance and inventory reports to Operations Manager.

Assistant Manager, Warehouse (5 Working Days/Pasir Gudang)

To oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.

To monitor inventory levels and coordinate cycle counts / stock takes to ensure inventory accuracy.

To ensure warehouse layout, space utilization, and material flow support production and dispatch schedules.

To liaise with Production, Procurement, QA, and Logistics/Transport teams to ensure smooth coordination of material availability and outbound shipments.

To monitor and report on key operational metrics (e.g. order fulfillment rate, inventory accuracy, dock-to-stock time).

To supervise, schedule, and allocate work to warehouse supervisors and team members.

To train, coach, and evaluate staff performance; identify skill gaps and support development.

To manage staff attendance, discipline, and manpower planning, including temporary/contract labor during peak periods.

Foster a positive, accountable, and productive team culture.

To ensure all warehouse activities comply with company SOPs, safety regulations, and relevant statutory requirements (e.g. OSHA, DOSH, or local equivalent).

To ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of materials, including hazardous materials where applicable.

To ensure equipment (forklifts, racking, MHE) is maintained and inspected per schedule.

To monitor warehouse operating costs (labor, consumables, damages, equipment) against budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.

To measurement performance of internal operation in warehouse, ensure performance, capacity and capability is measurable and able to conclude action towards suggestion of improvement.

To identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve space/labor utilization.

To support implementation of warehouse management systems (WMS) or process digitization initiatives.

To Investigate and resolve discrepancies, damages, or losses, and implement preventive measures.

To prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory status, and incidents to the Operations Manager.

To maintain accurate documentation for audits (internal, customer, or regulatory).

Deputize for the Operations Manager on warehouse matters as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Bachelor Degree in supply chain management/warehouse management or equivalent studies.

Minimum 5 years working experience in warehouse/logistics operations within a manufacturing environment.

Experience of leading team with supervisors and executives and team size of more than 10 person.
