Job summary

ONYX Hospitality Group in Penang is seeking a social media specialist to manage campaigns, create engaging content, and monitor performance across brand platforms. The role focuses on timely guest engagement and maintaining active online communities.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Mass Communication or equivalent, with strong English writing and SEO knowledge. Experience with content creation and influencer collaboration is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations or equivalent.
• Sound knowledge in SEO, Social Media platforms.
• Excellent command of English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
• Creative content writing.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities of multiple social campaigns including content creation, asset management across key social networks, and extracting actionable insights from monitoring data and guest interactions.
• Manage community platforms on brand websites, drive participation, ensure prompts queries and keep platforms active and relevant.
• Monitor benchmarks for measuring impact of social media programmes and analyze, review, and report on campaign effectiveness to maximize results.
• Build and maintain relationships with content creators and KOLs; collaborate with marcom to host journalists or similar KOLs.
• Oversee reputation management across forums, blogs, and social channels.
• Gather and perform competitor, consumer, and channel analyses to support campaign development.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day activities of multiple social campaigns including creating content, managing assets across key social networks and extracting actionable insights from social monitoring data and and guest interaction.
• Manage community platforms on our brand websites, driving participations, ensure that queries are managed promptly and continuously ensure that the platforms remain active and relevant to our guests and business needs.
• Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impacts of social media programmes, and analyze, review, report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
• Build and maintain a working relationship with content creators, KOL ( Key Opinion Leaders). Collaborate with marcom team when required to host journalists or similar KOLs.
• Reputation management by forums, blogs, social media channels.
• Gather and perform competitors, consumer & channel analysis to facilitate the development and successful social media campaign.

Qualifications

• Min Diploma in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations or equivalent.
• Sound knowledge in SEO, Social Media platforms.
