Job summary

Fgv Iffco Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance across the plant. You will read drawings with AutoCAD, utilize SAP PM, and coordinate activities to minimize downtime while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years in maintenance within edible oil or related industries, plus strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in maintenance, preferably in Oil & Fat, Edible Oil, Food Manufacturing, FMCG, or related process industry.
• Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance practices.
• Good understanding of mechanical systems, utilities, pumps, compressors, boilers, conveyors, rotating equipment, and plant machinery.
• Experience in planning and executing maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime and improve machine reliability.
• Familiar with maintenance management systems, preferably SAP PM (Plant Maintenance).
• Proficient in AutoCAD for reading and modifying engineering drawings and layouts.
• Good computer literacy, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of occupational safety, health, and environmental requirements in manufacturing operations.
• Familiar with statutory requirements and liaising with regulatory authorities such as DOSH/JKKP.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good leadership and people management skills with the ability to supervise technicians, chargemen, fitters, and contractors.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision and under pressure when handling breakdown situations.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to be on-call and attend emergency breakdowns when required.

• Experience in managing maintenance shutdowns, plant projects, and equipment upgrades.
• Registered with BEM (Board of Engineers Malaysia) or working towards professional certification.
• Exposure to CMMS or computerized maintenance management systems.
