Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in Learning & Development.
  • Prior experience in Retail Learning & Development is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and update training materials, including presentation slides, training guides, and on-the-job training (OJT) tools.
  • Facilitate classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training sessions to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
  • Coordinate training schedules, participant enrolment, attendance records, and training logistics.
  • Manage and maintain the HRDC portal, including training grant applications, claims, submissions, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor post-training effectiveness, track employee performance, and prepare training reports and analysis.
  • Support the implementation of learning and development initiatives by collaborating closely with Operations, HR Business Partners (HRBPs), and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).

Job description

The Learning and Development (L&D) Assistant Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing learning and development initiatives that enhance employees' skills, knowledge, and overall performance. This role involves identifying training needs, coordinating and delivering training programs, evaluating training effectiveness, managing learning management systems (LMS), and supporting career development initiatives. The L&D Assistant Manager works closely with stakeholders to foster a culture of continuous learning and ensure training programs align with the organization's business objectives.
