A seafood company in Subang Jaya is seeking an HR Manager to oversee HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, and payroll, ensuring compliance with Malaysian labour laws. The candidate should have a degree in HR or Business Administration, with at least 5 years’ experience, preferably in the FMCG or food industry. Strong organizational and leadership skills are essential. Familiarity with Autocount Payroll and MS Office will be an advantage. This role includes overseeing daily office administration and supervising the Admin Executive.
Manage end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, confirmation, resignation, disciplinary actions, and employee lifecycle administration.
Prepare and administer payroll, and oversee HR systems to ensure accurate inputs, reporting, and timely salary processing.
Ensure full compliance with Malaysian labour laws and statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRD Corp).
Manage employee relations, grievances, performance management initiatives, and disciplinary processes.
Support staff development, training programs, and employee retention initiatives.
Advise management on HR policies and staff welfare, and support HR initiatives to improve operational efficiency, employee engagement, and departmental performance.
Liaise with foreign worker agencies and service providers on recruitment, work permits, statutory compliance, and hostel arrangements.
Oversee daily office administration to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Supervise the Admin Executive in handling office administration, PA-related support, and coordination with external IT consultants and service providers.
Monitor renewal and compliance of company licenses, permits, insurance policies, and statutory documentation.
Review and guide preparation of Directors’ expense claims, reimbursements, and administrative documentation.
Oversee travel, accommodation, transportation, and travel insurance arrangements for directors and staff.
Maintain oversight of company IT assets, computers, and equipment assigned to staff, including approvals for new or replacement hardware.
Ensure proper documentation, filing systems, and records are maintained for audit and compliance purposes.
Supervise and guide the Admin Executive to ensure timely completion of assigned duties and adherence to company procedures.
Prepare HR and administrative reports for management as required.
Support management on ad hoc operational matters within the scope of HR and administration.
Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 5 years’ HR & admin experience, experience in FMCG or food industry is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian labour laws, HR policies, and employment regulations.
Good organizational, communication, and leadership skills, able to multitask and work independently.
Knowledge of Autocount Payroll, MS Office, and basic IT oversight is an advantage.
