Hospital Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman is seeking an Operational Management & Process Improvement leader to support the Director of Operations across multiple non-clinical functions. The role focuses on enhancing efficiency, service delivery, and regulatory compliance throughout F&B, Safety & Security, Facility & Engineering, and Support Services.

Operational Management & Process Improvement
Support the Director of Operations in overseeing daily operations across F&B, Safety & Security, Facility & Engineering, Support Services, Staff Residence, and General Services.
Monitor operational systems, processes, and infrastructure to ensure high operational efficiency and service effectiveness.
Identify operational bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement initiatives across non-clinical services.
Partner with the Human Resources Department on manpower planning, staff deployment, and employee retention strategies.
Co-manage hospital retail operations and vending machine services in collaboration with the F&B Person-in-Charge (PIC).
Oversee the daily performance of outsourced support service providers to ensure seamless service delivery.
Track vendor compliance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Supervise hospital linen management services, maintaining strict adherence to hospital cleanliness standards.
Ensure scheduled waste management activities strictly comply with Jabatan Alam Sekitar (JAS) guidelines and environmental regulations.
Establish and monitor departmental KPIs to maintain operational quality, cost effectiveness, and service standards.
Ensure operations align with Malaysian healthcare industry regulations, workplace safety standards, and hospital accreditation requirements (e.g., MSQH).
Staff Residence Management
Lead and manage the hostel facilities.
Oversee maintenance, cleanliness, and safety protocols to ensure a secure, hygienic, and comfortable environment for residents.
Manage room allocation, application processing, resident check-in/check-out procedures, and occupancy records.
Fleet & General Operations
Oversee the maintenance, scheduling, and servicing of hospital transport vehicles to maintain fleet safety and operational readiness.
Execute additional operational tasks and ad-hoc projects assigned by the Director of Operations or Senior Management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Operational Management or a related field.
Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management is required.
Minimum 3-5 years of operational management experience specifically within a hospital or healthcare facility background.
Deep working knowledge of JAS scheduled waste regulations, healthcare safety standards, and hospital accreditation requirements (e.g., MSQH).
Proven track record in supervising outsourced service providers, contract enforcement, and monitoring SLAs.
Strong leadership, analytical problem-solving skills, and fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
