Job summary

BERJAYA PROPERTY BERHAD is seeking an Assistant Manager - Greenhouse Operations based in Bukit Tinggi to oversee commercial greenhouse activities, including NFT hydroponic and drip fertigation systems. The role focuses on healthy crop production, staff leadership, and high-quality harvests.

You will manage planting, production planning, and optimize crop yields while ensuring safety, biosecurity, and SOP compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial greenhouse operations.
• Diploma/Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or related field.
• Practical knowledge of NFT hydroponics, drip fertigation, EC/pH management, irrigation, and pest & disease management.
• Strong leadership and hands-on problem solving; willing to work extended hours during peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Manage greenhouse crop production from germination and transplanting to crop maintenance, harvesting, and reset.
• Monitor NFT and drip fertigation systems including irrigation, nutrients, EC, pH, and water quality.
• Monitor crop health and manage pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies and IPM.
• Troubleshoot crop, irrigation, nutrient, and greenhouse system issues and implement corrective actions.
• Plan, monitor planting, production, yield and harvesting against targets.
• Lead, train, and supervise greenhouse teams to ensure productivity, crop quality, and operational discipline.
• Ensure compliance with biosecurity, hygiene, PPE, safety and SOPs.
• Support crop trials and continuous improvements of greenhouse productivity and quality.

Assistant Manager - Greenhouse Operations (Based in Bukit Tinggi)

We are looking for a technically competent and hands-on Assistant Manager - Greenhouse Operations to support our commercial greenhouse operations covering NFT hydroponic and drip fertigation systems, with responsibility for ensuring healthy crop production, efficient staff management, and high-quality harvests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage greenhouse crop production from germination and transplanting to crop maintenance, harvesting, and reset.
• Monitor NFT and drip fertigation systems including irrigation, nutrients, EC, pH, and water quality.
• Monitor crop health and manage pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies and Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
• Troubleshoot crop, irrigation, nutrient, and greenhouse system issues and implement corrective actions.
• Plan, monitor planting, production, yield and harvesting against targets.
• Lead, train, and supervise greenhouse teams to ensure productivity, crop quality, and operational discipline.
• Ensure compliance with biosecurity, hygiene, PPE, safety and SOPs.
• Support crop trials and continuous improvements of greenhouse productivity and quality.

• Diploma/Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field.
• Practical knowledge of NFT hydroponics, drip fertigation, crop nutrition, EC/pH management, irrigation, and pest & disease management.
• Able to diagnose crop and system problems and determine appropriate corrective actions.
• Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approiach.
• Flexible to work extended hours and weekends during peak planting and harvesting periods.
