Job summary

BERJAYA PROPERTY BERHAD is seeking an Assistant Manager - Greenhouse Operations based in Bukit Tinggi to oversee commercial greenhouse activities, including NFT hydroponic and drip fertigation systems. The role focuses on healthy crop production, staff leadership, and high-quality harvests.

You will manage planting, production planning, and optimize crop yields while ensuring safety, biosecurity, and SOP compliance.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial greenhouse operations.
Diploma/Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or related field.
Practical knowledge of NFT hydroponics, drip fertigation, EC/pH management, irrigation, and pest & disease management.
Strong leadership and hands-on problem solving; willing to work extended hours during peak periods.

Responsibilities

Manage greenhouse crop production from germination and transplanting to crop maintenance, harvesting, and reset.
Monitor NFT and drip fertigation systems including irrigation, nutrients, EC, pH, and water quality.
Monitor crop health and manage pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies and IPM.
Troubleshoot crop, irrigation, nutrient, and greenhouse system issues and implement corrective actions.
Plan, monitor planting, production, yield and harvesting against targets.
Lead, train, and supervise greenhouse teams to ensure productivity, crop quality, and operational discipline.
Ensure compliance with biosecurity, hygiene, PPE, safety and SOPs.
Support crop trials and continuous improvements of greenhouse productivity and quality.
