Job summary

CJ Century Logistics Sdn Bhd, based at its Johor Branch in Gelang Patah, seeks an Assistant Manager & Executive - Forwarding to oversee daily forwarding operations, coordinate import and export shipments, and ensure accurate documentation.

You will liaise with customers, carriers, and internal teams, monitor customs compliance, and support performance metrics and process improvements to enhance service quality and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in forwarding, customs clearance, freight forwarding documentations and related operational process.
• Good knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures and ISO requirements.
• Experience in team supervision and leadership, communication, coordination and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work with Dagangnet, SMK, MS Office applications, and data reporting tools for tracking, analysis, and documentation.
• Proven ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
• For Manager position minimum 3-5 years and Executive position 2-3 years of experience in freight forwarding and customs clearance.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Prior experience in freight forwarding within Malaysia is an advantage, including familiarity with Johor and port-related operations.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based at CJ Century Logistics Sdn Bhd's Johor Branch in Gelang Patah. The Assistant Manager & Executive - Forwarding will oversee day-to-day forwarding operations, including coordinating import and export shipments, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with customs and regulatory requirements. The role involves liaising with customers, carriers, and internal teams, customs and Government Agencies to plan and monitor shipment schedules, resolve operational issues, and maintain accurate records in relevant systems. The individual will assist in optimizing workflow, monitoring performance indicators, and implementing process improvements to enhance service quality and cost efficiency. Additional responsibilities include supporting team members, preparing operational reports, and contributing to customer service initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
