Assistant Manager: Consulting and Learning Solution (Enterprise)

About the Role: We are seeking an individual, with a strong Learning & Development background to support with client requirements conversation and analysis (none complex to moderately complex), converting into development and design of highly structured and integrated learning solutions for impact. This role requires deep expertise in strategic learning & development where the design logics and architecture are carefully considered in driving correlated outcome, helping clients to realize their organisational imperatives through fit-for-purpose talent development program initiatives. The ideal candidate is innovative in a way of approach, resourceful in problem solving, critically able to connect their focus component (in part or in whole) to the bigger objective of the custom learning program design. He or she must be collaborative internally and able to leverage on the extended APAC team and resources while maintaining exceptional client relationships and expectations.
The Responsibilities include:
Pre-Sales Activities
- Needs Analysis: Close partnership with Business Development team and under guidance of senior consulting lead, getting into an early client conversation to capture the requirement needs
- Solution Requirements Strategy: Devise and curate a fit-for-purpose solution strategy taking into consideration the client corporate directions, strategic imperatives, internal people strategy, competencies & behaviours, organisational purpose, culture and values as well as the impact creation as an outcome
- Budget Fit Exercise: Go through the approach with the Business Development team and the budget fit exercise prior to moving into proposal development
- Conversion of Solution to Proposal: Work and clearly articulate to the centralised proposal team to position a learning development design construct, required components and modalities which are all properly mapped to the specified requirements
- Proposal Quality Audit: Host checkpoint sessions with proposal team for an audit review for alignment of proposal to the design brief, delivering compelling outcome, under tight deadlines and exceptional quality
- Pitching research prep and presentation storyboard: Consulting partner to the business development team as the subject matter expert in the design construct (by component or full solution suite), aligning the storyboard to the requirements and the expected learner experience and derived outcomes for the winning formula
Post-Sales Activities
- Program delivery management handholding: Involved in the internal project kick-off led by Business Development team. Carry the role as the bridge under guidance of a senior solution lead of the design construct to the way of execution. Ensure the program delivery management team fully in alignment of the learner experience, the interconnected components, data & impact capture and stakeholder management being covered as part of the program management plan
- Faculty & Partner Walkthrough for impact creation: Finalize the best Faculty fit working under guidance of senior solution lead and Global Educator Network team. Determine the best solution partner to be onboarded into the project, manage the alignment of Faculty deliverables to the overall program design to achieve intended outcome as expected by client
- Content Audit & Faculty Feedback: Partner with Faculty ensuring the quality of Faculty contents are in complement for a multi-Faculty, multi-modularity learning design with the overall context and learning intent remains intact. Any client feedback, ratings, insights are seamlessly conveyed for continuous improvement
- Post program improvement cycle & design review: Implement a review rigour internally with a senior solution lead prior to involving client on the integrity and applicability of the design. Gather insights from client on the most current and relevant information ensuring consistent alignment achieved. Keeping best practices of continuous update of design approaches and auditing against the contract obligation
- Account Management: Expand the lifetime value of a client account and farming of new opportunities within the account in close partnership with the Business Development team Key
Skills & Experience Required:
- Background in Learning & Development, organizational development, and/or educational program design with 5+ years of progressive experience in building and delivering enterprise learning solutions.
- Demonstrated exposure to instructional design methodologies and adult learning frameworks.
- Ability to develop winning proposals and RFP responses for enterprise clients; experience closing mid-range deal value is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex learning concepts to diverse audiences (C-suite, educators, project teams).
- Strong experience collaborating with senior educators, university partners, and subject matter experts in designing and delivering high-impact programs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with design and content creation tools, LMS platforms, and video conferencing (Zoom, Teams, WebEx).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting tight deadlines.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align learning solutions with business objectives and drive organizational impact.
- Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships for learning initiatives is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Instructional Design (IDOL, KPMG, ATD, CIPD or equivalent), or advanced degree in Education, Training & Development, or related field.
- Experience with enterprise learning design in consulting, EdTech, or university partnership contexts.
- Thought leadership: published articles, conference speaking, or contributions to L&D knowledge in the industry.
