Koperasi Wawasan Malaysia Berhad (KOWAMAS) is seeking an Accounts Manager to oversee all accounting and financial operations. You will manage full-set accounts, prepare monthly reports, monitor cash flow, and ensure timely financial closes.
The role requires a degree or professional qualification in accounting, at least 5 years of relevant experience (supervisory preferred), and strong knowledge of Malaysian SST and e-Invoice requirements. Automotive industry experience is a plus.
Accounts Manager will be responsible for managing and supporting the overall accounting and financial operations of the Company.
Handle and oversee full set of accounts, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, schedules and account reconciliations accurately and within the required timeline.
Monitor daily cash flow, bank balances, collections, payments and banking transactions.
Manage and monitor customer receivables, supplier payments and outstanding accounts.
Perform bank reconciliation and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
Monitor workshop/service revenue, spare parts sales, purchases, inventory and related costs.
Assist in monitoring gross profit margins, operating expenses and cost control.
Coordinate and reconcile inventory/spare parts records with the relevant operational departments.
Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts and actual-versus-budget performance.
Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records, supporting documents and financial controls.
• Handle applicable tax, SST/e-Invoice and other statutory/accounting requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, suppliers and relevant authorities when required.
• Assist Management in financial analysis and provide relevant information for business decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with the Company's financial policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Supervise and guide Accounts staff where applicable.
• Perform any other finance and accounting duties assigned by Management from time to time.
Bachelor's Degree / Diploma / Professional Qualification in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with some supervisory or Assistant Manager-level exposure.
Experience in the automotive industry, automotive service centre, dealership or workshop environment will be an added advantage.
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in full-set accounts and management reporting.
Good understanding of Malaysian accounting, taxation, SST and e-Invoice requirements.
Experience in inventory accounting, costing and reconciliation is highly preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Able to work independently, meet reporting deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
