The Account Assistant Manager is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing accounting operations, and leading the accounts team. This role involves managing general ledgers, journal entries, trial balances, and ensuring timely completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. The position requires oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, and payment processes, along with performing bank, supplier, customer, outlet sales, and intercompany reconciliations. The Account Assistant Manager will prepare accurate and timely management reports and financial statements, monitor cash flow, analyze budget-versus-actual performance, and ensure compliance with applicable taxation requirements, accounting standards, statutory obligations, and regulatory requirements. Additionally, this role involves serving as the department's key liaison with government agencies, local councils, and statutory bodies.
Maintain accurate general ledgers, journal entries, and trial balances
Ensure timely completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, and payment processes
Perform bank, supplier, customer, outlet sales, and intercompany reconciliations
Prepare accurate and timely management reports and financial statements
Monitor cash flow and ensure sufficient funds are available to meet operational requirements
Analyze budget-versus-actual performance and highlight significant variances
Ensure compliance with applicable taxation requirements, accounting standards, statutory obligations, and regulatory requirements
Lead, supervise, and mentor members of the accounts team
Issue SOA and follow up payment from customer
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or a related management role
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, audit, statutory compliance, and internal controls
Previous experience leading or managing an accounting team
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong leadership and people-management capabilities
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills
Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
High level of integrity, accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail
Ability to work with less supervision
