You will oversee daily accounting operations, prepare monthly and quarterly reports, and ensure compliance with Malaysian standards and statutory requirements. The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, professional qualifications (ACCA/CPA/MIA) as an advantage, and 4–6 years of relevant experience, with supervisory exposure.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager, Account to support the Finance & Accounting function. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements, and supporting management in financial planning and analysis.
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliation.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts.
Ensure accurate and timely closing of monthly accounts.
Monitor cash flow, expenses, and financial transactions.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and statutory regulations in Malaysia.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, banks, and relevant authorities.
Review accounting entries and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Establish and maintain proper financial controls and accounting procedures.
Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and respond to audit queries.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, MIA, or equivalent is an advantage.
Minimum 4-6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with supervisory or management experience.
Good knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, taxation, and statutory requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently as well as manage and collaborate with a team.
Strong attention to detail, integrity, and accountability.
