Job summary

Nawawi Tie Leung Property Consultants Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia seeks an Assistant Manager, Account to support the Finance & Accounting function in Putrajaya.

You will oversee daily accounting operations, prepare monthly and quarterly reports, and ensure compliance with Malaysian standards and statutory requirements. The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, professional qualifications (ACCA/CPA/MIA) as an advantage, and 4–6 years of relevant experience, with supervisory exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, MIA, or equivalent is an advantage.
• Minimum 4-6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with supervisory or management experience.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, taxation, and statutory requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as manage and collaborate with a team.
• Strong attention to detail, integrity, and accountability.
• Must be independent

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts.
• Ensure accurate and timely closing of monthly accounts.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, and financial transactions.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and statutory regulations in Malaysia.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, banks, and relevant authorities.
• Review accounting entries and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Establish and maintain proper financial controls and accounting procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and respond to audit queries.
