Job summary

Grandmama’s, a renowned Malaysian restaurant brand, is seeking an Outlet Cook to assist the Outlet Chef with food preparation and cooking. You will prepare ingredients, ensure mise en place, and follow standardized recipes and portion sizes.

Work in a fast-paced team, maintain cleanliness, uphold food safety, support stock control and waste reduction, and operate equipment safely. The role requires flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in Selangor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of kitchen experience in a restaurant, café or chain restaurant.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Food Handling Certificate is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Outlet Chef with food preparation and cooking.
• Prepare ingredients and ensure mise en place is completed before service.
• Follow standardized recipes, portion sizes and presentation guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Assist in stock control, inventory management and receiving deliveries.
• Minimize food waste and support cost control initiatives.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report maintenance issues.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Outlet Chef or Management.
