We are seeking an Assistant HR Executive to join our Human Resources team in Perak on a full-time basis. This role is instrumental in supporting the day-to-day operations of our HR department and ensuring that our workforce receives excellent HR services. As an Assistant HR Executive, you will work alongside experienced HR professionals to deliver a range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, payroll support, and compliance management. Assist in the day-to-day administration of Human Resources activities, including recruitment, payroll, employee benefits, training, attendance, leave, and employee records.
Assist in the recruitment process, including job advertisements, candidate screening, interview arrangements, employment documentation, onboarding, and orientation.
Assist in payroll processing by preparing and verifying salaries, allowances, overtime, incentives, claims, statutory deductions, and other payroll-related information.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal files, employment status, attendance, leave, training, and other HR documentation.
Assist in processing employee movements, including new hires, confirmations, transfers, promotions, salary adjustments, resignations, and terminations.
Assist in administering employee benefits, including medical claims, insurance, annual leave, sick leave, and other welfare programmes.
Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws, labour regulations, and statutory requirements, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, and the Employment Act.
Monitor and maintain accurate records of employee attendance, overtime, and shift schedules for office staff, plant workers, lorry drivers, operators, and other operational employees.
Assist in handling employee relations and disciplinary matters, including preparing notices, letters, memos, and related documentation in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements.
Assist in coordinating performance appraisals, employee training, development programmes, and other HR initiatives.
Liaise with government authorities, statutory bodies, training providers, recruitment agencies, and other external parties on HR-related matters when required.
Assist in implementing and maintaining HR policies, procedures, forms, guidelines, and employee handbooks.
Prepare HR reports, correspondence, and other documentation, and follow up on outstanding HR matters as required.
Support the Assistant HR Manager in coordinating daily HR activities and ensure assigned tasks are completed accurately and within the required timelines.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant HR Manager, HR Manager, or Management from time to time.
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Human Resources or HR Administration.
Good knowledge of HR administration, recruitment, SQL payroll, attendance, leave, and employee records.
Familiar with Malaysian statutory requirements, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, and Employment Act 1955.
Experience in SQL payroll or HR systems is an added advantage. Knowledge of SQL Payroll is preferred.
Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken. Mandarin is an added advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Good communication, interpersonal, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented, responsible, organised, and able to maintain confidentiality.
Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks effectively.
Experience in using HR Information Systems (HRIS) and payroll software, preferably SQL Payroll.
Previous experience in a manufacturing, industrial, logistics, or other operational environment.
