Angeion International Sdn. Bhd. invites an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to oversee financial planning, analysis, reporting, and compliance across the organization.
You will drive accuracy in financial data and support strategic decision making to safeguard the company’s financial health. Key duties include managing AR/AP/GL and month-end close, developing budgets and forecasts, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing cash flow, and mentoring the finance team.
As an Assistant Finance Manager, you will play acritical role in overseeing financial operations within our organization. You’ll be responsible for managing financial planning, analysis, reporting, and compliance. Your expertise will contribute to strategic decision-making and ensure the financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities
Finance day-to-day operation:
Oversee and manage the day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), bank reconciliations, and other accounting activities.
Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded, properly supported, and processed in a timely manner in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
Lead and coordinate the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions, account reconciliations, and necessary adjustments.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
Develop and execute financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts.
Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to senior management
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Present financial reports to stakeholders and provide explanations as needed.
Budget Management:
Monitor budget performance, track variances, and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with department heads to align spending with organizational goals.
Implement cost-saving initiatives.
Cash Flow Management:
Optimize cash flow by managing receivables, payables, and working capital.
Forecast cash needs and maintain liquidity.
Evaluate financing options and negotiate terms with banks or lenders.
Identify financial risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Monitor market trends, interest rates, and currency fluctuations.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals.
Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
Provide guidance on complex financial matters.
Payroll:
Manage and review payroll operations, including salary calculations, claims & reimbursements, and statutory filings.
Monitor and review staff overtime to ensure compliance with company overtime policies and guidelines
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA are advantageous.
Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in finance, accounting, or related roles.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
