Job summary

FoodNet Consultants International Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to join our finance team. You will work closely with overseas joint ventures, prepare monthly group reports, and liaise with auditors and tax consultants to ensure compliance.

Ideal candidates are proactive, able to work independently, and proficient in Microsoft Office. Fluency in English and Mandarin is required.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with 3+ years of relevant experience, including exposure to international firms or multinational corporations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work in a team.
• Able to communicate in English and Mandarin with associates.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with overseas joint ventures and ensure timely submission of management accounts
• Prepare monthly group management reports on a timely basis
• Prepare statutory group annual report
• Provide reliable and sensible analysis of financial performance and other key financial ratios on a monthly basis
• Liaise with auditors, corporate secretary, tax consultants, bankers and various authorities of Singapore
• Assist in any ad-hoc assignment as and when required
• Any other duties as assigned by superior or the Management.

Job Requirements

• Qualified accountant, proficient in accounting and corporate finance and have at least 3 years of relevant work experience, including some years with an international accounting firms or from a multi-national corporation
• Team player with good interpersonal and communications skills
• Able to communicate with both English and Mandarin speaking associates
• Highly pro-active, self-motivated and performance oriented
• Able to work independently
• Good knowledge of Companies Act, financial reporting standards, tax regulations and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
• Highly proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint
