Job summary

The position oversees daily accounting operations, leads a team, coordinates month-end close, and ensures accurate financial records and reporting to support business decisions.

You will assist in group reporting, audits, tax compliance, and integration of newly acquired entities, while identifying improvements to workflows and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including supervisory or team-lead experience.
• Strong experience in full-set accounts, month-end closing and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent qualification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing processes.
• Review management accounts, general ledger entries and supporting schedules.
• Ensure financial reports are accurate, complete and submitted within deadlines.
• Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and bank reconciliations.
• Review supplier invoices, payment requisitions, staff claims and supporting documents.
• Coordinate audit schedules and supporting documents for annual statutory audits.
• Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
• Support the financial integration of newly acquired entities.
• Allocate work and monitor the team’s completion of assigned tasks.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, reporting and internal controls.
