Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Professional certifications (ACCA/CPA/MIA) highly desirable.
• 4–5 years accounting experience, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Proficiency in SAP, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint; Chart knowledge may be needed.
• Chinese, English and Bahasa Malaysia required for communication with China HQ.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Accounting Manager in overseeing daily accounting operations.
• Assist in supervising and mentoring junior accounting staff.
• Lead the month end closing process.
• Prepare, review and analyze monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Prepare yearly budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor cash flow and assist in financial planning.
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants and company secretary on audit, taxation and secretary matters.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, tax regulations and internal policies.
• Handle other related accounting functions and ad-hoc assignments.
