The role requires 8–10 years in accounting with 3–5 years in a managerial capacity, a recognised accounting degree and professional qualifications such as ACCA/CPA, and proficiency in SQL accounting systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent is preferred.
• 8–10 years of accounting and finance experience, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of MPERS, tax regulations, SST, e-Invoice requirements, and statutory compliance.
• Experience in budgeting, cash flow management, financial reporting, and audit.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the Accounts Department.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
• Monitor the company's cash flow and financial position.
• Develop and implement financial policies and internal controls.
• Prepare management reports, financial analysis, and performance reports.
• Provide financial recommendations to Management.
• Monitor budgets, expenses, and profitability.
• Conduct variance analysis between budget and actual performance.
• Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers, and government authorities.
• Oversee annual statutory audits and tax submissions.
• Ensure timely submission of SST, income tax, withholding tax, e-Invoice, and other statutory filings.
• Monitor bank balances and cash flow projections.
• Manage banking facilities and financing arrangements.
• Review payment schedules and approve payments.
• Ensure efficient management of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Oversee payroll processing and ensure statutory deductions are accurate.
• Ensure timely payment of EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, and other statutory contributions.
• Review staff claims, reimbursements, and commission payments.
• Lead, supervise, and develop the Accounts team.
• Assign work, monitor performance, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Provide coaching and training to team members.
• Ensure proper segregation of duties and workflow efficiency.
