About the role

MSA MAINTENANCE AND CONSTRUCTION SDN. BHD. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our accounting team in Gurun, Kedah. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our organisation. As an Assistant Accountant, you will work alongside our senior accounting staff to ensure accurate financial record-keeping, compliance with accounting standards, and the smooth operation of our accounting department. This role is essential to maintaining the financial integrity of our business and supporting informed decision-making across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Recording and posting financial transactions to the general ledger and subsidiary accounts
• Reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies between accounting records and bank transactions
• Preparing and processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Supporting the audit process by preparing documentation and responding to audit enquiries
• Maintaining accurate and organised financial records and supporting documentation
• Assisting with payroll processing and related administrative tasks
• Performing general ledger reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
