Job summary

QUADRANT TECHNOLOGY (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Assembly Production Supervisor to lead our assembly floor. You will manage line output, optimize balancing, and drive safety while meeting daily production targets.

You will oversee line leaders and operators, monitor FPY and scrap, and champion 5S and Kaizen to continuously improve efficiency on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5+ years of supervisory or team leading experience in manufacturing assembly lines.
• Strong hands-on understanding of assembly processes and line balancing.
• Familiarity with takt time calculation and shop-floor management.
• Practical knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and ISO quality standards.
• Proven leadership with large operator teams (50+ headcount advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily assembly line operations, manpower allocation, and line balancing to maximize output and meet targets.
• Monitor FPY, scrap rates, and enforce SOP adherence on the shop floor.
• Collaborate with PMC and Quality teams to resolve line-stop issues and defects promptly.
• Drive 5S, lean practices, and Kaizen activities to improve efficiency.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate line leaders and operators for disciplined, safe performance.
• Prepare daily/weekly production reports and implement corrective actions.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Assembly Production Supervisor to lead our assembly shop-floor operations. In this role, you will manage daily assembly line output, optimize line balancing, drive output efficiency, and lead line leaders and operators to meet daily production targets safely and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

Oversee daily assembly line operations, manpower allocation, and line balancing to maximize output efficiency and achieve daily production targets.

Monitor shop-floor line yield, track first-pass yield (FPY), and enforce strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOP).

Collaborate with PMC and Quality teams to resolve daily line-stop issues, material shortages, and assembly component defects promptly.

Drive 5S methodology, lean manufacturing practices, and continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities on the assembly floor.

Train, mentor, and evaluate line leaders and assembly operators to build a disciplined and safety-conscious workforce.

Prepare daily/weekly assembly production reports, analyze scrap rates, and implement effective corrective actions.

About you

Education: SPM / STPM / Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management, or related fields.

Experience: Minimum 3–5+ years of supervisory or team leading experience in manufacturing assembly lines (e.g., Electronics, Precision Mechanical Assembly, Automotive Components, or Consumer Products).

Strong hands-on understanding of assembly processes, line balancing, takt time calculation, and shop-floor management.

Practical knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and ISO quality management standards.

Proven leadership capability in managing operator teams (50+ headcount experience is an added advantage).

Strong problem-solving mindset, decisive leadership, stress resistance, and strong sense of responsibility.
