Job summary

NPAworldwide in Kulai, Johor is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to own and optimize assembly processes. You will drive continuous improvement, tool design reviews, and ISO-compliant documentation to ensure smooth mass production.

The role requires the ability to read engineering drawings, work independently, and may require Mandarin proficiency. Two openings are available for this position.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree/Master's in Engineering (Mechanical)/Mechatronic/Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die or equivalent.
• At least 4 years engineering experience.
• Mandarin proficiency required; two openings.

Responsibilities

• Own the assigned process end-to-end and drive improvements.
• Improve processes, reduce costs, and design enhancements for assembly lines.
• Prepare and maintain Product Structure and Routing in Mfg/Pro system.
• Investigate root causes of abnormal processes and customer complaints.
• Train assembly technicians and supervisors on assembly processes.
• Review tooling drawings for changes or improvements in design.
• Create ISO-compliant Work Instructions, Workmanship Standards, and Control Plans.
• Handle machine buy-off and set up new assembly lines.
• Localization of items and support for vendor development.
• Transfer products from other sites for cost reduction.
• Document control for assembly machines and process changes.
• Implement process control measures for assembly and comply with ESH.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete control over the process assigned to him / her.
• Drive continuous process improvement, cost reduction and design improvement for trouble free manufacturing process.
• Prepare and maintain Product Structure and Routing data in Mfg/Pro system.
• Root cause investigation on abnormal process / customer complaints.
• Training of assembly technician / supervisor on assembly process.
• Review tooling drawing in case of any process change or improvements in design.
• Prepare and maintain the process documents such as Work Instruction, Workmanship Standard, Control Plan, process verification for mass production as per ISO requirements
• Machines buy off and set up the new lines for Assembly.
• To initiate the localization of items and to support purchaser for vender development.
• Product transfer from other sites for cost reduction programs.
• Update the concerned in case of any process change or improvement in design.
• Document control of assembly machine.
• To implement the process controlling measures (Assembly).
• Comply with ESH requirement.

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS?

• Diploma/Degree/Master's Degree in in Engineering (Mechanical)/Engineering (Mechatronic)/Engineering (Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die) or equivalent.
• The candidate must have experience in engineering background for at least 4years
• Working experience with automatic connector assembly process is preferred but not essential
• Good in read the engineering drawings and familiar in manufacturing methods
• Good knowledge of pneumatic equipment used in the assembly process
• Able to work independently
• Quick learner and forward looking
