Job summary

Businesslist in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a client-focused commodities professional to develop relationships with clients across Asia and promote hedging solutions. You will understand clients' commodity exposures, propose risk management strategies, and execute derivative transactions while coordinating with trading, research, and risk teams.

English fluency is essential, with bonus Asian languages. The role offers exposure to international markets and a performance-driven trading environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in trading, sales, commodities, treasury, financial markets or risk management.
• Exposure to agricultural commodities, energy markets, derivatives, futures, options, OTC products, or structured hedging solutions is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and commodity risk management concepts.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercially driven with a proven ability to build client relationships and generate business opportunities.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven trading environment.
• Fluency in English is required; additional Asian language capabilities are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with existing and prospective clients across Asia.
• Understand clients' commodity exposures and recommend suitable hedging and risk management strategies.
• Promote derivative-based risk management solutions through client meetings, presentations, and market engagement activities.
• Execute commodity and hedging transactions while ensuring seamless post-trade support.
• Collaborate closely with internal trading, structuring, research, and risk teams to deliver value-added solutions.
• Provide clients with timely market insights, trading ideas, and updates on commodity market developments.
• Support business growth by identifying new opportunities and expanding the client portfolio.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and internal risk management requirements.
