Job summary

Hong Kong Unison Limited is seeking an experienced COBOL developer to maintain and enhance COBOL-based applications on the AS400/IBM i platform. You will collaborate with business users and technical teams to deliver reliable solutions, manage deployments with ALDON, and handle DB2/SQL activities, while adhering to DevOps and SDLC practices.

The ideal candidate has 6–12 years of AS400 COBOL experience, and banking/payments domain exposure is highly preferred.

Qualifications

6–12 years of AS400 COBOL development experience.
Banking and Payments domain experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and support COBOL-based applications on the AS400 / IBM i platform.
Participate in application enhancements, bug fixes, and production support activities.
Manage code promotion and deployment activities using ALDON.
Work closely with business users, analysts, and technical teams to deliver solutions.
Perform database-related activities involving DB2 and SQL.
Support integration activities across enterprise systems and applications.
Track and manage development tasks, defects, and releases through JIRA.
Follow DevOps and SDLC best practices to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Assist in root cause analysis and resolution of production incidents.
Ensure compliance with organizational standards, security policies, and governance requirements.
