ALVA Holding Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee multiple retail locations in Malaysia. This full-time role combines hands-on store leadership with strategic oversight to maximise profitability and customer satisfaction.

You will recruit and develop store managers, drive sales targets, manage inventory and merchandising, and report performance to senior management. Travel between sites is required. A competitive salary and opportunities for career growth are available.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a strategic multi-site management position that plays a crucial role in driving operational excellence, sales performance, and team development across your designated retail areas. As Area Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple stores, ensuring consistent delivery of our brand standards, and leading high-performing teams to achieve business objectives. This role offers significant scope for impact, combining hands-on operational management with strategic oversight to maximise profitability and customer satisfaction across your portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the performance and operations of multiple retail locations, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and brand standards
• Drive sales performance and achieve financial targets across all stores within your area, implementing effective strategies to maximise revenue
• Recruit, train, mentor, and develop store managers and team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
• Conduct regular store visits and audits to assess operational efficiency, visual merchandising standards, and customer service quality
• Implement and monitor marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns to drive foot traffic and sales
• Address customer complaints and resolve operational issues promptly to maintain high service standards
• Report on area performance metrics and provide regular updates to senior management on financial results and key performance indicators
• Identify and develop emerging talent within your teams, supporting their career progression and advancement

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in retail management
• Proven track record of successfully managing and improving store profitability and sales performance
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and retain high-performing teams
• Excellent understanding of retail operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and customer service standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation
• Commercial acumen and a results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets
• Willingness to travel between multiple store locations as required
