Job summary

City Chain Malaysia seeks an experienced retail leader to drive store performance and development across its network. You will formulate growth strategies, set standards for individual stores, and oversee operations to maximize efficiency and profitability.

You will lead store managers toward collaboration, manage manpower and stock planning, and ensure campaigns are executed effectively while keeping budgets in check.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in retail leadership or similar managerial roles.
• Proven track record managing store operations and standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience leading a regional sales team is a plus.
• English & Mandarin proficiency required for client communication.

Formulate fruitful business development strategies to ensure long-term success

Set standards and objectives for different stores

Optimize and oversee operations to ensure efficiency

Effective Planning of manpower, stocks and other resources.

Lead a team of store managers towards effective collaboration and attainment of goals

Undertake sound financial management to ensure stores are profitable and stay within budget

Manage and monitor sales team to achieve sales targets for assigned territories and overall business objective

Ensure all marketing campaigns/activities information are communicated effectively to all team members and executed successfully

Deal with problems by providing creative and practical solutions

Ensure all outlets comply with company policies, visual merchandising standards, safety rules, and local laws.

Assist management in decisions for expansion or acquisition

Leading both new shop openings and permanent store closures from initial planning to completion.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail industry industry

Proven experience as store manager, area manager, assistant manager or similar managerial role

Sound understanding of optimization of store operations and standards for success

strong track record of success within prior experience in a regional sales role

Highly responsibility and uphold good integrity and honesty

Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities

Excellent organizational and leadership abilities

Diploma / Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or related field

Candidates with strong relevant experience but without tertiary education will be considered.

Fluent in English & Mandarin, both oral and written. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
