Job summary

The Penang Hill Cable Car Project seeks a full-time, site-based Architectural Site Engineer in Penang. Fresh graduates who can use Mandarin for day-to-day site coordination with Mandarin-speaking project teams are welcome to apply without prior work experience.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, coordinating interfaces with structural and M&E teams, supervising finishes, and tracking progress with mock-ups and inspections to ensure defect rectification.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Building Construction, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Able to read architectural drawings and use AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Good communication and site coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural and shop drawings, material submissions and method statements; raise and follow up on technical queries.
• Coordinate architectural interfaces with structural and M&E teams, consultants and subcontractors.
• Supervise blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, painting, and door/window installation.
• Track site progress and follow up on mock-ups, inspections and defect rectification.
