Zohorecruit in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a highly capable Resident Architect to lead on-site implementation of a major infrastructure project. You will coordinate between client, consultants, and contractors to ensure design integrity and timely delivery.

You will verify construction works against drawings and specs, review shop drawings, ensure safety and quality, and manage site reports. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required; Mandarin is a plus.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years of relevant site experience.
• Registered Architect with Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM).
• Strong knowledge of architectural detailing, materials, and construction methodologies.
• Familiar with Malaysian regulations and standards (UBBL, CIDB Act 520, OSHA, GBI, QLASSIC).
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an added advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee site works to ensure conformance with drawings, specs, and design intent.
• Monitor progress, track milestones, and prepare progress reports.
• Coordinate between consultants, contractors, and client on site matters.
• Review and approve shop drawings, materials submissions, and method statements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify design discrepancies and provide on-site technical solutions.
• Plan and monitor site activities for timely delivery.
• Conduct site inspections for quality workmanship and standards.
• Prepare and review site reports and quality documentation.
• Assist in resolving technical, construction, and contractual issues.
• Identify risks and variations and implement mitigation strategies.
