Job summary

SPK Asas Sdn Bhd is looking for an experienced Architectural Coordinator to join our Design & Architecture team in Penang. The role supports architectural projects, coordinating between architects, clients, contractors and stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.

You will bridge communication across design and construction phases, assist with design development, and help manage project documentation and approvals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture or related built environment discipline.
• 2-5 years of experience as Architectural Coordinator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of architectural design processes, building codes and construction standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Excellent organisational and project coordination skills with ability to manage multiple projects.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• Problem-solving capabilities and adaptability in a fast-paced setting.
• Knowledge of MS Office and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating communication between architects, clients, contractors and consultants to ensure project alignment and timely delivery.
• Preparing and maintaining project documentation, drawings and specifications in accordance with industry standards.
• Assisting in the development of design concepts and supporting architects during the design development phase.
• Scheduling and organising project meetings, site visits and inspections to monitor progress and address concerns.
• Maintaining project records, including correspondence, approvals and contractual documentation.
• Liaising with authorities and regulatory bodies to facilitate permit approvals and compliance.
• Assisting with quality control and ensuring compliance with building codes and standards.
• Coordinating logistics and resources required for project execution.
