Job summary

Swan & Maclaren (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Architect to assist from concept design to project completion in a dynamic team. You will prepare drawings, documentation and submissions while coordinating with clients, consultants and authorities.

The role requires a Part II qualification (Bachelor's/Master's in Architecture) and at least 4 years of experience in design development through construction, with proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's in Architecture (Part II)
• Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience in architectural design and project coordination
• Experience in handling projects from design development through to construction stages
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant architectural software
• Good knowledge of local authority requirements, building by-laws and construction regulations
• Strong design, technical and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Good communication, coordination and interpersonal skills
• Able to manage multiple tasks and projects while meeting deadlines

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, design and development of architectural projects from conceptual design to project completion.
• Prepare and coordinate architectural drawings, design documentation and submission materials.
• Develop design concepts, presentations and technical details in accordance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities and other project stakeholders.
• Attend project meetings and assist in resolving design and technical issues.
• Ensure drawings and documentation comply with relevant building regulations, codes and authority requirements.
• Assist in project coordination during the construction stage and conduct site visits when required.
• Support the Project Architect/Team Leader in ensuring projects are delivered within the required timeline and quality standards
