Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Application Support Specialist to deliver technical support for business applications, ensuring stable system usage for clients. You will troubleshoot issues, assist deployments, and provide user training and documentation.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in IT, 1+ year in application support, SQL basics, and good English communication. Shift-based duties and on-call rotation are expected, with onsite and remote onboarding support.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in application support, technical support, or similar role.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and networking concepts (LAN/WAN).
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
• Customer-focused, patient, and professional in handling users.
• Willing to work in a shift rotational pattern with on-call duties when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support and maintenance for clients, including POS and related systems.
• Assist with system installation, configuration, and client onboarding (onsite and remote).
• Conduct user training, system demonstrations, and product walkthroughs.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application issues within SLA timelines.
• Manage and track support tickets, ensuring timely updates and resolution.
• Support system testing, validation, and minor configuration or customization tasks.
• Prepare user guides, FAQs, and technical documentation.
• Participate in on-call or standby support rotation when required.
• Collaborate with internal teams to escal and resolve complex technical issues.
• Perform ad-hoc support tasks as assigned.
