Job summary

RBC in Putrajaya, Malaysia is seeking an IT operations professional to maintain job control language, monitor data center health, and improve data delivery to Front Office. The role focuses on scripting, scheduling, and incident remediation in Wealth Management platforms.

You will work with multiple teams to investigate pricing issues, automate processes, and ensure timely production batch execution. The position is full time with 40 hours per week and a salaried pay structure.

Qualifications

• Powershell scripting required.
• SQL language knowledge required (SQL Server/Oracle preferred).
• Windows Server expertise and ability to deep-dive into issues.
• Experience with ITRS Geneos Monitoring Software.
• Experience with Job Scheduler tools (e.g., BMC Control-M, Cron).

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that up-to-date job control language is maintained and documented for each program that is part of a scheduled production run.
• Ensuring the documentation and tracking of all shift turnover issues.
• Contributing to job scheduling and report distribution, as well as data center standards development and enforcement.
• Monitoring the library to ensure proper generation of data files for production runs and tracks resolution.
• Monitoring the EOD batches and identifying root causes for job failures and remediation.
• Monitor via ITRS Dashboard to ensure health of Application.
• Ensure timely delivery to downstream consumers (Front Office).
• Drive improved stability and higher quality of data delivered to Front Office.
• Document new issues that occur and maintain documentation to ensure consistent steps for known issues.
• Coordinate between groups to remediate issues (Support, Development, Analytics, Quants).
• Investigate pricing failures and resolve issues using SQL, Unix, Windows.
• Develop scripts to automate processes using Powershell and other scripting languages.
