Job summary

AGENSI PEKERJAAN TRUST RECRUIT SDN. BHD. is seeking an Application Engineer (Customer Sales & Support) to evaluate complex enquiries and provide technical expertise on product sizing, applications, and system solutions for APAC commercial building projects.

You will read engineering drawings, support HVAC and building services, assist sales with tenders, and collaborate with subcontractors to ensure compliant, high-quality outcomes. Experience in pumps or technical engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience in Technical Support or Customer Service, preferably in pumps or technical engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, plan layouts, schematic diagrams, and system flow diagrams.
• Knowledge of commercial building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and water & wastewater supply systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC pumps and systems and/or HVAC part load calculation.
• Experience supporting the Singapore market or similar regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate complex enquiries and provide technical assistance on product sizing, application, and system solutions, ensuring compliance with technical and commercial specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and project specifications to evaluate technical requirement and recommended compliant product & system solutions.
• Deliver high-quality customer support across telephony, email, chat, and digital channels while meeting established Service Level Agreements.
• Support sales teams with tenders and project management by supplying detailed specifications, calculations, delivery timelines, and addressing operational concerns.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and technical specifications aligned with tender requirements.
• Identify business opportunities and upsell potential, coordinating handovers to external sales teams.
• Manage and follow up on technical cases using standardized procedures, ensuring timely resolution and accurate customer data maintenance.
• Support with ad hoc tasks defined by leadership.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• 2–5 years of experience in Technical Support or Customer Service, preferably in pumps or technical engineering environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including plan layouts, schematic diagrams, and system flow diagrams
• Knowledge of commercial building systems such as Heating, Ventilation, Airconditioning (HVAC), plumbing, firefighting, and water & wastewater supply systems
• Knowledge of HVAC pumps and systems and /or HVAC part load calculation
• Ability to evaluate technical requirements and ensure solutions meet project specifications and compliance standards
• Strong knowledge of commercial building systems, the ability to interpret engineering drawings and tender documents, and a customer-first mindset
• Experience supporting the Singapore market or similar regulated environments
• Familiarity with project specifications, tender documents, and regional compliance requirements
• Experience with CRM tools and digital customer support platforms
